Man shot in Antioch; police seek suspect – California

ANTIOCH — Police are investigating a weekend shooting that sent a man to a local hospital in critical condition.

Just after 9:35 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a report of shots fired near the intersection of Lone Tree Way and Davison Drive, police said in a statement.

Before officers arrived, dispatchers were told a man was seen shooting a firearm at a vehicle and that another man had been shot.

When officers arrived, they found a 33-year-old man at the scene suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Paramedics and Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters also responded, assisting in proving emergency life-saving measures and transporting the man to a local trauma center.

Police did not release any information about the suspect.
